What
is a heat pump ?
A
heat pump works in a similar way to a fridge (but in reverse).
The
heat pump uses the heat from the atmosphere to warm your water.
This
can result in an energy saving of around 60-70% when compared
to a traditional electric system. (In most cases heat pumps
require to be connected to continuous tariff for a portion of
the year which makes actual dollar savings versus solar significantly
less.)
